Horseshoe Fund Services (“Horseshoe”) takes home the Global Custodian Industry Leader Award for Private Equity Fund Administration Value.
The Global Custodian, a leading publication in the alternative investment industry, recently conducted a comprehensive global survey of major firms in the private equity fund administration space. The survey consisted exclusively of responses received from the private equity fund administration clients of those firms. Based on those client responses, Horseshoe received the award for Private Equity Fund Administration Value. Horseshoe was also awarded ‘Global Outperformer’ and ‘Category Outperformer’ accreditations.

Hamilton, Bermuda, November 8, 2017. Horseshoe Group (“Horseshoe”) announced two recent senior hires to further strengthen its rapidly growing fund administration offering. Keenan Press and Gordon Paterson have been appointed as SVP – Head of Investor Services and Group Manager – Fund accounting respectively. Both Press and Paterson will be based out of Horseshoe’s Bermuda office and will play key roles in the firm’s fund administration business.
Press has over 15 years of investor services and compliance experience within the hedge fund industry and was most recently a Senior Manager and Compliance Officer at Continental Management Limited focusing on trust and corporate services clients. Prior to Continental, Keenan spent several years at Opus Fund Services as Director of Client Services and Implementation. Keenan has also held Senior roles at Dundee Leeds and BNY Mellon.
Paterson has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry including 13 years in the fund administration space. Prior to joining Horseshoe, Gordon was Head of Operations for Equinoxe AIS (Bermuda) Ltd where he managed the fund accounting and investor services operations for both traditional Hedge and ILS Funds. Prior to Equinoxe, he worked at Citi Hedge Fund Services Ltd as Assistant Vice President within the Fund Accounting department.

Based on clients’ responses received across several service categories, Horseshoe received leading scores in the 2017 Private Equity Fund Administration surveys conducted by Global Custodian. Based on the combined responses from 90% of its private equity fund clients, Horseshoe was also awarded ‘Global Outperformer’ and ‘Category Outperformer’ accreditations.
In addition to superior ratings and accreditations, the survey summary analysis for the Horseshoe Private Equity Administration services included,”…its overall score is 6.84, making it one of the top-rated PE administrators in the eyes of its participating clients.” The survey analysis concluded with, “Not surprisingly, comments from clients are overwhelmingly positive. ‘Responsive’, ‘proactive and ‘efficient’ are frequently used.”
